API is the acronym for Application Programming Interface. It is a software solution, which works as an intermediary between two other programs. This means it allows you to access Icon Coface’s services right from your own applications, making the data readily available and convenient to use.
iCON APIs are designed following the worldwide REST protocol. Our APIs return you data in various formats: structured format such as JSON, XML or as readable format such as PDF, HTML report.
- Customizable: retrieving data via API allows you to use your own interface to view it. It allows you to present data in the format you prefer.
- Automatic processing: If you order monitoring and data changes, you will be notified (through a callback URL system). Thanks to the API, theses notifications can be sent directly to your system to be processed.
- Schedulable: Some data is not always available in real time. The iCON APIs allow you to schedule the orders, so the data will be ready when you want to use it.
- Resource saving: iCON APIs are made to handle huge portfolio. It allows you to make multiple request without human interaction.
Our API solutions allow you to integrate reliable, up-to-date information automatically. You can connect your existing systems to the Coface Business Information database, and access the insights you need through your own applications and credit-decision engines. This means you can onboard wider teams and share insights company-wide.
Yes. We have two ways to secure our API: first with a special API key and second with a token generated with OAuth 2.0 Password Grant (identification protocol).
iCON APIs are free of charge. The price of the data/reports is the same as if you would order via iCON front-end. There are two ways to pay for your orders:
- You have bought a subscription and you still have credit on it.
- You don’t have subscription and you will be charged for each order.
We are focused on delivering you the best API experience. We provide access to educational and training materials online as well as a sandbox and templates to help you test and integrate. These documents can be found on our Github site.
